Journey Man (2002) is a Wild Films production, funded by the Arts Council of Wales, produced by Elizabeth Morgan Hemlock, and written and directed by D R Hood. The film made its UK premiere at the London International Film Festival. Its US première was at AFI Fest (Los Angeles), followed by NY Expo – where it was given a jury award. Journey Man has screened at numerous international festivals, including Interfilm Berlin (award for best film against violence and intolerance) and Amiens (best short film and two special awards). Journey Man was shortlisted for both the Turner Classic Movies’ Classic Shorts prize, and the Taos Festival’s BAFTA LA award. Journey Man screened in front of Stephen Frears’ feature ‘Dirty Pretty Things’ at UGC Cinemas in London, Birmingham and Cardiff throughout its run; and also in front of Michael Winterbottom’s ‘In This World’.
