Dictynna has directed several award winning short films including The Other Man and Journey Man. Wreckers is her first feature. She also directs for theatre, most recently Breaking the Silence with Somali refugees at Hampstead and Soho Theatres. As writer, Dictynna has been commissioned by Granada/C4, Dutch film company 24FPS, and by Birmingham Rep for her play The River. She has co-written The Bird Can’t Fly, which premiered at San Sebastian, 2007, starring Barbara Hershey. Over and Under, a twisted rom com which Simon and Dict are currently developing, was recently a finalist for the i-Features scheme in the UK. Dict also teaches, and is the inventor of the ‘Pudovkin game’ for use with directing and writing students.

producer – simon onwurah

Simon is a prolific producer and has worked in many genres including drama, factual and entertainment. Simon produced the Royal Television Society award-winning Who Stole The Soul? (BBC) and the BAFTA nominated Paul Merton In China (C5). Simon is a founder of Non-Aligned Films and has produced work for national and international networks including BBC, C4, ITV, Five, HBO, PBS and M-Net. He has created productions which have won both commercial and critical success including Coffee Coloured Children (ITV), The Body Beautiful (C4), And Still I Rise (BBC). His first feature, Welcome Il The Terrordome, was distributed theatrically in the UK and broadcast by Channel 4, winning Best Film at the Birmingham International Film Festival. Simon has an MBA from New York University, where he studied as a Fulbright scholar.
